OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care as a member of an established OB hospitalist team.
- Promote patient safety and positive outcomes by serving as a leader and resource within the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Support community physicians, midwives, and nursing staff through collaboration and expert clinical assistance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetrical and gynecological care to a diverse patient population, including contraceptive services at applicable hospitals.
- Manage care for high-risk patients, utilizing available Maternal Fetal Medicine support, including remote consultation as needed.
- Engage in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, contributing to collaborative care planning and patient management.
- Function as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring the safest possible outcomes for all patients.
- Offer clinical support and practice coverage to community physicians and midwives upon request, based on safety and capacity.
- Participate in a variety of shift models, including the majority 24-hour shifts and occasional 12-hour or mixed shifts, to ensure continuous patient care coverage.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of the assigned hospital site.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nursing staff, and community physicians.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
