OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care as part of a dedicated hospitalist team
- Emphasize safety, quality outcomes, and collaborative care in a hospital-based setting
- Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance and practice coverage
- Work a combination of 24-hour and 12-hour shifts for optimal work-life balance
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available
- Provide direct patient care to high-risk obstetric patients, even when Maternal Fetal Medicine support is remote
- Participate actively in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Offer clinical assistance and coverage to community physicians and midwives as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain patient safety and care quality

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of the assigned facility
- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and positive relationships with hospital leadership, multidisciplinary teams, and staff
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care preferred
