OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver inpatient obstetric and gynecological care, including high-risk pregnancy management.
- Participate in daily clinical rounds and act as a safety officer for labor and delivery units.
- Support community clinicians and midwives with clinical assistance and practice coverage as needed.
- Work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary hospital environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for obstetrical and gynecological patients, including those with high-risk conditions.
- Administer contraceptive services as available and appropriate within the facility.
- Engage in daily labor and delivery board rounds to ensure effective communication and coordinated care.
- Serve as the designated Safety Officer in labor and delivery, ensuring best practices are maintained for all patients regardless of admitting provider.
- Offer clinical support and coverage for community physicians and midwives, aiding with workload and practice continuity.
- Collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists via telehealth or phone consultation as needed for high-risk case management.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn Physician).
- Active medical license to practice in the state of the assigned hospital.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with hospital leadership, clinical teams, nurses, medical staff, and corporate personnel.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster a collaborative care environment.
