OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Provide expert obstetrical and gynecological care for patients in a hospital setting
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on quality and patient safety
- Support both patients and community healthcare providers
- Play a key role in improving maternal and newborn outcomes
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available
- Provide direct patient care to high-risk patients, including situations supported by Maternal Fetal Medicine via remote consultation
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to coordinate effective patient care
- Act as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring optimal safety for all patients regardless of their primary admitting clinician
- Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested and as safely available
- Collaborate closely with nurses, staff physicians, and hospital leadership to create a safe and efficient care environment
- Follow all established hospital protocols and standards

- Eligibility for benefits with a shift commitment of 5 shifts per 28-day block
Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Active Candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of the assigned site
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders, including hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care is preferred
