OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available
- Provide direct, high-quality patient care for both routine and high-risk cases, often in collaboration with Maternal Fetal Medicine via remote consultation as needed
- Participate in daily labor and delivery board rounds to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Serve as the Safety Officer on the Labor and Delivery unit to oversee patient safety protocols for all patients, regardless of the primary admitting physician
- Support and collaborate with community physicians and midwives, offering clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Stay updated on the latest clinical guidelines and best practices in obstetrics and gynecology

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or actively pursuing board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with hospital leadership, nursing staff, hospitalist teams, and other stakeholders
- Experience and competence in obstetrical emergency care are preferred
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to clinical quality standards
