OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Provide inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care as a key member of the hospitalist team.
- Ensure safe, high-quality care for all patients, regardless of primary admitting clinician.
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds and function as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery.
- Support and collaborate with community physicians and midwives, offering clinical assistance and practice coverage as needed.
- Work flexible shifts, including primarily 24-hour shifts, with some 12-hour or mixed-shift options available.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services in applicable hospitals.
- Provide direct patient care for high-risk obstetric cases, utilizing Maternal Fetal Medicine support via telemedicine when necessary.
- Conduct daily rounds in Labor and Delivery, ensuring effective communication among the care team.
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery to promote optimal outcomes for all patients.
- Support community healthcare providers by offering clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the hospital environment.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with nurses, staff physicians, and hospital leadership to facilitate best practices in patient care.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician (active candidacy accepted).
- Valid medical license to practice as an OB/GYN Physician at the assigned site.

- Experience in managing obstetrical emergencies is preferred.
