As an OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist), you will play a critical role in delivering direct patient care, particularly for high-risk obstetrical cases. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing complex situations, sometimes with remote support from Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists. Working in a collaborative environment, you will participate in daily rounds on Labor and Delivery, serve as a Safety Officer to ensure optimal outcomes for all patients, and provide clinical support to community physicians and midwives as needed. OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Provide inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care as part of a dedicated hospitalist team
- Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes in labor and delivery settings

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available
- Manage care for high-risk patients, with access to Maternal Fetal Medicine support via telemedicine when necessary
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to coordinate patient care
- Act as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring safe outcomes for all patients, regardless of primary admitting clinician
- Provide clinical assistance and coverage for community physicians and midwives as requested and as safely feasible
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and maintain standards of clinical excellence

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician
- Eligible for or holding a valid medical license for practice at the assigned site
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build strong rapport with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and administrative staff
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care is preferred
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical quality
