OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary- Full-time position for experienced OB/GYN physicians in a hospital setting
- Opportunity to provide direct obstetrical and gynecological care to a diverse patient population
- Collaborative team environment focused on quality, safety, and excellence in maternal care
- Position based in Wichita Falls, offering a positive and supportive healthcare community
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where applicable
- Provide direct patient care to high-risk obstetrical patients, including those requiring Maternal Fetal Medicine support via telemedicine as needed
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, contributing to team-based patient management
- Serve as Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring optimal outcomes for all patients regardless of primary admitting clinician
- Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested and as safely available
- Engage in continuous quality improvement and safety initiatives within the hospitalist program

- Eligibility for benefits with a shift commitment of 5 shifts per 28-day block
- Board Certified or active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of the assigned site
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with hospital leadership, clinical teams, nursing staff, and other stakeholders
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care is preferred
- Proven commitment to patient safety and high-quality maternal care
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrates leadership capabilities, particularly in safety oversight roles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Desire for ongoing professional development and engagement in quality improvement initiatives
- Shifts primarily consist of 24-hour coverage, with some 12-hour or mixed-shift models available
- Full-time clinicians typically work 5-9 (24-hour) shifts per 28-day scheduling block, offering a balanced work-life structure
