Your responsibilities will include participating in daily rounds, serving as a Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, and supporting community healthcare providers. OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Deliver high-quality inpatient obstetrical and gynecological care as part of a hospital-based clinical team.
- Provide direct care to patients, including those with high-risk pregnancies, and support maternal-fetal health initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with hospital staff, community physicians, and midwives to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Participate in structured shift schedules, predominantly 24-hour shifts, to provide consistent and comprehensive patient coverage.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care to patients, including contraceptive services where applicable.
- Provide direct care to high-risk patients, utilizing Maternal Fetal Medicine support through telemedicine as needed.
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to coordinate patient care and ensure best practices.
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, advocating for patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Offer clinical assistance to community physicians and midwives, including practice coverage as requested.
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical documentation in accordance with hospital standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn Physician).
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state where assigned.

- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
