OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) - Summary
- Provide outstanding inpatient obstetrics and gynecology services as part of a dedicated OB hospitalist clinical team.
- Focus on delivering excellent patient care, collaboration, and safety in a hospital setting.
- Participate in a supportive, multidisciplinary healthcare environment with opportunities for professional growth and leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where applicable.
- Provide direct patient care for high-risk pregnancies, utilizing available Maternal Fetal Medicine support via telephone or video consultation as needed.
- Participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal care planning and outcomes.
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, advocating for patient safety and ensuring best-practice protocols for all patients, regardless of their primary admitting clinician.
- Support community physicians and certified nurse-midwives by providing clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested and as safely available.
- Adhere to hospital policies and participate in quality improvement initiatives to promote patient safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or an active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Must hold an active medical license in the state of the assigned site.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain positive working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nursing staff, community physicians, and corporate support staff.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care strongly preferred.
- Strong commitment to patient safety, clinical quality, and professional ethics.
