We are seeking a dedicated and experienced OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) to join our dynamic clinical team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care in a hospital setting. As an OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN), you will play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective outcomes for patients, particularly those with high-risk pregnancies. You will also collaborate closely with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and community providers to support outstanding patient care and safety standards.
The OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) position offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with access to comprehensive resources and support. OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) - Summary
- Deliver quality obstetrical and gynecological care in a hospital setting
- Embrace a collaborative team approach focused on patient safety and outcomes
- Work with high-risk patient populations, including those requiring Maternal Fetal Medicine consultation
- Support community clinicians and participate in daily hospital activities
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where applicable
- Deliver direct patient care to high-risk obstetrical patients, utilizing telephone or video consultation with Maternal Fetal Medicine as necessary
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to ensure cohesive care delivery
- Serve as Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, advocating for safe outcomes for all patients regardless of their primary admitting clinician
- Offer clinical support to community physicians and midwives, including practice coverage as requested and as safely available
- Maintain effective communication with all hospital and clinical staff to foster a positive working environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and clinical outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Active Candidate in OB/GYN
- Current medical license to practice in the state of assignment
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with hospital leadership, nursing staff, hospitalist teams, staff physicians, and corporate staff
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient safety and evidence-based care
