OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients, including contraceptive services where applicable.
- Deliver direct patient care for high-risk obstetrical cases, including those requiring Maternal Fetal Medicine support via telehealth consultations.
- Actively participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to support coordinated patient care.
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery to oversee patient safety and ensure optimal outcomes for all patients, regardless of admitting clinician.
- Offer clinical assistance and support to community physicians and midwives, including practice coverage as requested and as safely available.
- Participate in shift-based hospital coverage, including majority 24-hour shifts, with some 12-hour or mixed-shift models available.
- Engage in ongoing communication and teamwork with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and OBHG corporate staff.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Current medical license to practice in the state of the assigned site.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and effective working relationships with all hospital stakeholders, including leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and support staff.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient safety, ethics, and clinical excellence.
