The OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) plays a vital role within the hospital's clinical team, focusing on providing attentive and comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients. As an essential member of the OB Hospitalist program, this role emphasizes a commitment to delivering high-quality care and supporting positive outcomes for every patient. The OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including community physicians, midwives, and hospital staff, to ensure that care is delivered effectively and efficiently, particularly in high-risk situations. Full-time, part-time, and mixed-shift models are available, offering flexibility for clinicians who are passionate about women's health and hospital-based medicine.
OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) - Summary- Join a dedicated OB Hospitalist program that prioritizes patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Deliver a broad spectrum of obstetrical and gynecological care in a hospital setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support both patients and community healthcare providers.

- Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients, including contraceptive services where applicable.
- Deliver direct patient care for high-risk obstetrical cases, including those requiring Maternal Fetal Medicine support via telehealth consultations.
- Actively participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to support coordinated patient care.
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery to oversee patient safety and ensure optimal outcomes for all patients, regardless of admitting clinician.
- Offer clinical assistance and support to community physicians and midwives, including practice coverage as requested and as safely available.
- Participate in shift-based hospital coverage, including majority 24-hour shifts, with some 12-hour or mixed-shift models available.
- Engage in ongoing communication and teamwork with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and OBHG corporate staff.

- Board Certified or active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Current medical license to practice in the state of the assigned site.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and effective working relationships with all hospital stakeholders, including leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and support staff.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient safety, ethics, and clinical excellence.
- Experienced in managing high-risk pregnancies and obstetrical emergencies.
- Skilled in both independent and team-based clinical environments.
- Effective communicator, capable of collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
