OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) - Summary
- Serve as a key member of the OB hospitalist clinical team, focusing on quality care and patient safety.
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological services to a diverse patient population.
- Participate in labor and delivery rounds, acting as a resource for both clinical teams and patients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services (where applicable).
- Deliver direct patient care to high-risk patients, utilizing Maternal Fetal Medicine support as needed (via telehealth or video consultation).
- Actively participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring optimal outcomes for all patients, regardless of primary admitting clinician.
- Support community physicians and midwives with clinical assistance and practice coverage, as requested and when it is safe to do so.
- Commit to scheduled 24-hour shifts (majority), with some 12-hour or mixed-shift models available.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician.
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of assignment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with hospital leadership, nurses, staff physicians, and hospitalist teams.
- Experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
