OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) - Summary
- Serve as a core provider of obstetric and gynecologic care in a hospital environment
- Engage in interdisciplinary teamwork with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals
- Champion patient safety and best practices throughout the continuum of care
- Support and collaborate with local community physicians and midwives
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services where available
- Provide direct patient care to high-risk OB patients, utilizing telemedicine support from Maternal Fetal Medicine as needed
- Participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, contributing clinical insights and recommendations
- Act as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety for all admissions
- Offer clinical assistance and practice coverage to community physicians and midwives as requested and as safely available
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) best practices and protocols
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing medical education

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Active Candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Current license to practice medicine in the assigned state, in good standing
- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport with hospital leadership, clinical staff, nursing teams, and OB Hospitalist Physician (OB/GYN) colleagues
- Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care is preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaborative skills
