OB Hospitalist (OB/GYN Hospitalist) - Summary
- Provide high-quality obstetrical and gynecological care within a hospital-based setting
- Participate in a collaborative and supportive clinical team environment
- Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance and practice coverage as needed
- Work a mix of 24-hour and 12-hour shifts, designed for optimal patient care and clinician work-life balance
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients, including contraceptive services where available
- Manage high-risk and routine obstetrical cases, including emergency situations, often with remote Maternal Fetal Medicine support
- Conduct daily labor and delivery board rounds to ensure coordinated patient care and optimal outcomes
- Serve as Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, overseeing patient safety for all admitted patients regardless of primary clinician
- Provide clinical support and practice coverage for community physicians and midwives as requested, maintaining high standards of safety and care
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary collaboration

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or active candidate in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn), eligible for OB Hospitalist (OB/GYN Hospitalist) roles
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of assignment
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, positive relationships with hospital leadership, clinical teams, nursing staff, and administrative personnel
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is highly preferred
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to evidence-based practices
