OB Hospitalist (OB/GYN) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients, including contraceptive services where available
- Deliver direct patient care to high-risk obstetrical patients, utilizing remote Maternal Fetal Medicine support as needed
- Lead and participate in daily Labor and Delivery board rounds, ensuring optimal patient management and communication
- Serve as the Safety Officer on Labor and Delivery, overseeing patient safety protocols and advocating for best practices
- Support community physicians and midwives by offering clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested and as safely available
- Work scheduled shifts, primarily 24-hour shifts, with some 12-hour or mixed-shift models
- Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician (MD or DO)
- Active medical license in the state of assignment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and staff
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care preferred
- Commitment to excellence in patient care and safety
