OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Site Director) - Full-Time Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Site Director) to lead our clinical team dedicated to providing exceptional obstetric hospitalist care. This full-time leadership role is instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation and ongoing quality improvement of our OB Hospitalist program. The OB Hospitalist Director will work collaboratively with clinical and administrative leadership to foster a value-based culture rooted in delivering patient-centered, high-quality obstetric care. As the OB Hospitalist Director, you will be responsible for managing program operations, strengthening relationships with hospital medical and nursing staff, and maintaining effective communication with the OB Hospitalist team. Reporting to senior clinical and operational leaders, you will play a pivotal role in program delivery, provider development, and strategic growth. Your leadership will be essential in meeting both clinical and operational objectives, as well as shaping a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
The ideal candidate demonstrates significant experience in obstetrical emergency care and possesses the ability to build strong, positive relationships with multidisciplinary teams. This position requires travel to the hospital as needed to address operational priorities and offers a rewarding blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities.
OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Site Director) - Summary
- Full-time leadership role overseeing OB Hospitalist program operations and clinical quality.
- Key liaison between hospital leadership, nursing, and physician teams.
- Responsible for ensuring program performance and compliance with established standards.
- Contributes to ongoing clinician development and value-based care initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the OB Hospitalist program to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality care.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, administrative leadership, and the OB Hospitalist team.
- Serve as primary point of contact between the clinical team and senior leadership, including the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, and Vice President of Clinical Operations.
- Collaborate to achieve program and hospital clinical/operational objectives.
- Travel to the hospital as needed to address program priorities and foster team engagement.
- Train, mentor, and develop new clinicians in value-based care practices.
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Manage minor physician-related issues, escalating to senior leadership as appropriate.
- Work with hospital leadership to identify and implement strategies to increase labor and delivery utilization.
- Participate in at least five (5) 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts in each 28-day period to maintain clinical engagement and oversight.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified OB/GYN Physician (MD/DO).
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of assignment.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and positive working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
