OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Site Director) – Full-Time Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Site Director) to lead our hospitalist clinical team and ensure the highest standards of quality care and operational excellence. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for program operations, team development, and fostering strong relationships with hospital staff and administration. This position is ideal for a board-certified OB/GYN physician who is passionate about quality improvement, team leadership, and advancing value-based healthcare in obstetrics.
As the OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Site Director), you will report directly to the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning the clinical team's performance with both the organization’s and hospital’s clinical and operational objectives. The role offers the unique opportunity to shape the delivery of OB/GYN hospitalist services, provide mentorship to clinicians, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
This full-time position requires a commitment to at least five 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts per 28-day period, ensuring direct engagement in clinical practice while fulfilling leadership responsibilities. You will also have the opportunity to help onboard and train new clinicians, uphold clinical policies and procedures, address physician concerns, and work closely with hospital and corporate leadership to identify opportunities to enhance labor and delivery services.

OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Site Director) - Summary- Lead the OB hospitalist program as the Site Director
- Collaborate with medical and administrative leadership to achieve clinical and operational goals
- Develop and mentor OB hospitalist team members in a value-based care environment
- Oversee daily operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality obstetrical care
- Build and maintain productive relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing teams, and administration
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with physician and CNM OB hospitalist team members
- Train and develop new clinicians in the value-based care model
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and standards
- Manage minor physician issues and escalate as needed to higher leadership
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance labor and delivery utilization and clinical outcomes
- Travel to hospital site as needed to address operational priorities
- Fulfill a minimum of five (5) 24-hour (or equivalent) hospitalist shifts in each 28-day period

- Board Certified OB/GYN Physician (MD or DO)
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of the assigned site
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with clinicians, nurses, hospital leadership, and staff
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
- Proven leadership skills in a clinical setting
- Commitment to delivering quality, value-based obstetrical care
- Strong communication, mentorship, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to collaborate with diverse multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel as needed to the hospital site
