OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Site Director) - Summary
- Leadership position overseeing the OB Hospitalist program at a hospital site
- Drives value-based, patient-centered obstetric care in collaboration with clinical and administrative teams
- Reports to Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations
- Acts as the bridge between hospital staff, OB Hospitalist clinicians, and organizational leadership
- Ensures program operations meet clinical and operational objectives
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the OB Hospitalist program, ensuring the delivery of quality care
- Build and sustain effective relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing teams, and leadership
- Maintain ongoing communication with OB Hospitalist physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives
- Collaborate with organizational leaders to meet clinical and operational targets
- Travel to hospital sites as needed to address operational priorities and support teams
- Train, mentor, and develop new clinicians in a value-based care model
- Enforce and communicate clinical policies, procedures, and expectations
- Manage and escalate physician issues as appropriate
- Work with hospital and organizational leadership to increase labor and delivery utilization
- Commit to at least five 24-hour hospitalist shifts (or equivalent) per 28-day period

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Licensed to practice medicine in the applicable state
- Strong relationship-building skills with a wide range of stakeholders
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to manage and support clinical teams in a hospital setting
