The OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Site Director) plays a pivotal leadership role within the obstetric hospitalist team, focusing on the delivery of exceptional, value-based maternity care. As a key liaison between the clinical team and hospital administration, the OB Hospitalist Director ensures that hospital operations align with both organizational and hospital-specific goals for clinical excellence, patient safety, and team development. OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Site Director) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the OB hospitalist program to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with clinical standards.
- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing personnel, and administrative leadership.
- Develop and sustain effective communication channels with hospitalist team members, including physicians and certified nurse midwives.
- Collaborate with Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, and Vice President of Clinical Operations to meet goals.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new clinicians, emphasizing value-based care culture and clinical excellence.
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations for the OB hospitalist team.
- Manage minor physician issues and escalate concerns appropriately to higher-level leadership when necessary.
- Identify opportunities to increase utilization of hospital labor and delivery services in partnership with hospital leadership and clinical operations teams.
- Travel to hospital sites as needed to address operational priorities and support team success.
- Maintain continuous professional development and provide guidance on clinical best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) required.
- Active medical license to practice as an OB/GYN physician in the state of the assigned hospital site.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and maintain positive relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff.
- Significant experience managing obstetrical emergencies is preferred and highly valued.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture.
