OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Site Director) - Summary
- Lead and oversee the OB Hospitalist program, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and team performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between hospital leadership and the OB Hospitalist team.
- Promote a value-based culture focused on quality, safety, and collaborative practice.
- Directly report to senior medical leadership and collaborate on operational strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee program operations to ensure quality care delivery in the OB Hospitalist program.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, and administrative leadership.
- Facilitate collaboration with physician and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) OB Hospitalist teams.
- Partner with Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations to achieve clinical and operational goals.
- Travel to the hospital as needed to address operational priorities and support hospitalist team needs.
- Train and mentor new clinicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations among the clinical team.
- Manage minor physician issues and escalate more complex matters to senior leadership as appropriate.
- Identify and implement strategies to enhance hospital labor and delivery utilization.
- Commit to a set number of clinical shifts, ensuring ongoing engagement in patient care and program leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Active medical license in the state of the assigned hospital site.

- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
