The OB Hospitalist Director (also known as OB/GYN Hospitalist Site Director) plays a pivotal leadership role within the OB hospitalist clinical team, driving program operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality, value-based obstetric care. This position is instrumental in guiding and supporting the OB hospitalist team, fostering a culture of clinical excellence, and maintaining strong relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, and administrative leadership. As a key member of the clinical management team, the OB Hospitalist Director serves as the primary liaison between the hospital and the OB hospitalist group, reporting directly to a Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations.

OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Hospitalist Site Director) - Summary
- Leadership position responsible for program operations and clinical excellence in an OB hospitalist setting

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee OB hospitalist program operations to ensure delivery of quality care
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, and administrative leadership
- Foster collaboration within the OB hospitalist physician and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) team
- Collaborate with Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, and/or Vice President of Clinical Operations to meet clinical and operational objectives
- Travel to the hospital as needed to address operational priorities and team needs
- Onboard, train, and develop new clinicians in value-based care culture
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations
- Manage minor physician issues and escalate complex concerns appropriately
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to increase labor and delivery utilization
- Work at least five (5) 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts per 28-day period

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified OB/GYN Physician
- Active medical license to practice in the assigned state
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nursing staff, staff physicians, and corporate staff
- Experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred
