In this role, you will report directly to the Market Medical Director (MMD), Medical Director of Operations (MDO), or Vice President of Clinical Operations (VPCO). You will serve as the primary liaison between the hospitalist team, hospital leadership, and administrative stakeholders, ensuring alignment between clinical objectives and operational goals. Your responsibilities will also include training and developing new clinicians, managing team dynamics, and supporting quality improvement initiatives. The OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Hospitalist Director) will have a direct impact on the overall patient experience, while also contributing to the growth and success of the hospitalist program. The position requires a minimum commitment of five 24-hour (or equivalent) shifts per 28-day period, ensuring both clinical presence and leadership continuity.

OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN Hospitalist Director) - Summary
- Full-time leadership position overseeing the OB hospitalist program
- Directly responsible for program operations, quality care, and team performance
- Key liaison between clinical team, hospital administration, and organizational leadership

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the OB hospitalist program, ensuring delivery of high-quality, value-based care
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, and administrative leadership
- Develop and maintain strong rapport with the OB hospitalist physician and CNM team
- Train and mentor new clinicians in the organization’s value-based culture and clinical protocols
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations among the team
- Manage minor physician issues and escalate concerns to the MMD, MDO, or VPCO as appropriate
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and organizational leaders to identify strategies that increase hospital labor and delivery utilization
- Travel to the assigned hospital as needed to address operational priorities and support clinical initiatives
- Participate in quality improvement projects and contribute to achieving both clinical and operational objectives

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Current license to practice medicine in the assigned state
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build positive working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
