We are seeking a qualified and experienced OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) to lead and manage our hospitalist program. This is an exciting opportunity for a board-certified OB/GYN physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality obstetrical care within a value-based healthcare model. As an OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN), you will be an integral member of the clinical leadership team, responsible for overseeing program operations, maintaining clinical standards, and fostering a collaborative environment among hospital medical staff, nursing staff, and administrative leadership. OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) - Summary
- Lead and oversee the OB hospitalist program to ensure delivery of outstanding patient care and achievement of clinical and operational objectives.
- Serve as the primary liaison between hospitalist clinicians, hospital administration, and nursing teams.
- Foster a value-based culture that prioritizes quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage program operations to ensure consistent delivery of quality care within the OB hospitalist program.
- Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, medical staff, and nursing teams.
- Support and mentor physician and CNM hospitalist team members, promoting professional growth and high clinical standards.
- Report to the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations, providing regular updates and collaborating on program goals.
- Work with leadership to achieve both organizational and hospital clinical and operational objectives.
- Travel to the hospital as needed to address operational priorities and support the hospitalist team.
- Train and develop new clinicians, instilling a value-based approach to patient care.
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations among the clinical staff.
- Manage minor physician issues and escalate more complex concerns to senior leadership as appropriate.
- Collaborate with hospital administration and operational leadership to identify opportunities for improved labor and delivery utilization.
- Fulfill at least five 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts within each 28-day period.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified OB/GYN Physician (MD or DO) with current, unrestricted medical license.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state where the assigned site is located.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain strong professional relationships with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and administrative staff.
- Significant experience in providing obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
