We are seeking an experienced and dynamic OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) to lead a high-performing clinical team dedicated to delivering excellence in obstetric care. This full-time position is designed for a board-certified OB/GYN physician with a passion for quality improvement, team leadership, and patient-centered care in a hospital environment. As the OB Hospitalist Director, you will play a critical role in program operations, relationship building, and clinical management, ensuring the delivery of superior care aligned with value-based healthcare principles. The OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) will work closely with hospital medical staff, nursing teams, administrative leadership, and other stakeholders to cultivate a cohesive and effective practice. Reporting to the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations, this role requires a proactive and communicative leader who is adept at fostering relationships, training clinicians, and implementing clinical policies. The position also includes a blend of direct clinical service and administrative responsibility, with travel to hospital sites as necessary to address operational priorities and support team development.

OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) - Summary
- Lead and oversee the OB hospitalist program, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinical operations.
- Serve as a key liaison between hospital leaders, clinical teams, and organizational leadership.
- Emphasize value-based care principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the OB hospitalist program to ensure quality care is delivered consistently.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with hospital medical and nursing staff, as well as administrative and clinical leadership.
- Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships within the OB hospitalist physician and certified nurse midwife teams.
- Collaborate with the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations to align clinical and operational objectives.
- Travel as needed to the hospital to address operational priorities and support the clinical team.
- Provide training and development for new clinicians to promote a value-based culture.
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations among the team.
- Manage minor physician issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Work jointly with hospital leadership and organizational directors to identify strategies to optimize labor and delivery utilization and enhance patient outcomes.
- Commit to a minimum of five (5) 24-hour OB hospitalist shifts within each 28-day period, ensuring direct clinical involvement and leadership presence.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board-certified OB/GYN physician, demonstrating clinical excellence and expertise in obstetric care.
- Active medical license in the assigned state, meeting all regulatory and credentialing requirements.
- Strong relational skills with the proven ability to build rapport with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff.
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership capability in clinical or administrative roles within hospital-based obstetrics programs.
