Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage program operations to ensure consistent, high-quality obstetric care is delivered in the hospital setting
- Build and maintain effective relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, administrative leadership, and the OB Hospitalist team
- Collaborate with the Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations to achieve clinical and operational program objectives
- Travel to the hospital as needed to address operational priorities and support hospital and hospitalist teams
- Train and mentor new clinicians, supporting their development within a value-based care environment
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations throughout the OB Hospitalist program
- Manage routine physician issues and escalate complex matters to senior leadership as appropriate
- Work closely with hospital leadership and OB Hospitalist teams to identify strategies for increasing labor and delivery utilization
- Fulfill shift commitments as required, typically at least five 24-hour shifts per 28-day period

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Active medical license to practice as a physician in the assigned state
- Demonstrated ability to build strong rapport and effective working relationships with hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and corporate staff
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care is preferred
