OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) - Summary
- Leadership role overseeing OB hospitalist program operations
- Collaborative engagement with hospital medical staff, nursing, and administration
- Direct reporting to and partnership with medical leadership (MMD, MDO, VPCO)
- Ongoing commitment to quality improvement and value-based care
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure effective program operations to deliver quality obstetric care
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with hospital medical and nursing staff as well as administrative leadership
- Foster collaboration and rapport with the OB hospitalist physician and CNM team
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations across the team
- Manage and resolve minor physician issues, escalating as needed to senior medical leadership
- Train and mentor new clinicians, supporting their integration into a value-based care culture
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and operational directors to identify opportunities for improving labor and delivery unit utilization
- Participate in at least five (5) 24-hour (or equivalent) OB hospitalist shifts per 28-day period
- Travel to the hospital as needed to address operational priorities and support hospitalist teams

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- Current and valid state medical license as required for the assigned hospital site
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and positive relationships with hospital staff, leadership, and clinical teams
- Significant experience in obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
