OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the effective operation of the OB Hospitalist program
- Maintain and build strong relationships with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, and administrative leadership
- Develop and support relationships within the physician and certified nurse midwife (CNM) OB hospitalist team
- Collaborate closely with Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations to ensure program objectives are met
- Serve as the primary site leader for clinical and operational excellence
- Travel to the hospital as needed for operational priorities and team support
- Train and develop new clinicians to integrate into a value-based culture
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations
- Manage minor physician issues and escalate as appropriate
- Work collaboratively with hospital leadership and other directors to identify opportunities to increase labor and delivery utilization
- Fulfill a minimum of five 24-hour (or equivalent) hospitalist shifts per 28-day period

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board-certified OB/GYN Physician
- Active medical license in the state of assigned site
- Proven ability to build strong, positive working relationships with all stakeholders, including hospital leadership, clinical teams, nurses, and administrative staff
- Experience in obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
