The OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) role is a vital leadership position within the hospital's obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) team. This full-time opportunity is designed for a board-certified OB/GYN physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality, value-based obstetrical care and excelling in clinical operations. As the OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN), you will play a key role in program operations, team leadership, and the continuous improvement of clinical standards in a collaborative hospital environment.

This position requires a dynamic leader who can foster strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams, hospital administration, and fellow clinicians. The OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, developing and training new clinicians, ensuring adherence to clinical policies, and maintaining a high standard of patient care. You will collaborate closely with hospital leadership and other medical directors to ensure that both clinical and operational objectives are met, contributing to the overall success of the OB hospitalist program.

The OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) will frequently engage with hospital medical staff, nursing staff, administrative leadership, and the OB hospitalist team. This leadership position reports to a Market Medical Director, Medical Director of Operations, or Vice President of Clinical Operations. You will work collaboratively to identify strategies for increasing labor and delivery utilization, resolve operational priorities, and manage team performance. Regular on-site presence is required to address clinical and operational needs, ensuring seamless coordination and the delivery of exceptional care to patients.

In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you will participate in clinical shifts, with a minimum commitment of five 24-hour shifts (or the equivalent) in each 28-day period. This schedule provides you with the opportunity to stay actively involved in patient care, support your team, and lead by example in the delivery of compassionate, patient-centered obstetrical services.
