We are seeking a dedicated and highly qualified OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) to lead and support our obstetrical hospitalist program. This full-time leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced OB/GYN physician who is passionate about advancing quality patient care within a value-based healthcare model. As the OB Hospitalist Director, you will work closely with hospital medical staff, nursing teams, and administrative leadership to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the OB Hospitalist program. Your efforts will be central to maintaining clinical excellence, fostering a collaborative work environment, and meeting clinical and operational objectives.
As an OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN), you will play a pivotal role in managing daily program operations, building and sustaining professional relationships, and mentoring clinical staff in our value-driven culture. Your leadership and expertise will support both organizational and hospital goals, ensuring that high-quality, patient-centered care remains at the forefront of our mission. This position reports directly to senior medical leadership, offering you the opportunity to influence clinical policies, enhance labor and delivery utilization, and contribute to the ongoing development of the OB Hospitalist team.
As part of your responsibilities, you will be expected to travel to the hospital as needed to address operational priorities and oversee the ongoing development of clinical staff. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are communicated and enforced effectively, addressing any minor physician issues, and escalating concerns as appropriate to market or corporate leadership. The OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) will also provide direct patient care by working at least five 24-hour shifts or equivalent each 28-day period. OB Hospitalist Director (OB/GYN) - Summary- Lead the OB Hospitalist clinical team in a value-based healthcare setting
- Work collaboratively with hospital leadership and clinical staff to achieve operational and clinical goals
- Mentor and develop new clinicians while upholding clinical standards
- Provide direct patient care through scheduled OB hospitalist shifts
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the OB Hospitalist program to ensure quality care delivery
- Build and maintain professional relationships with hospital medical and nursing staff, administrative leadership, and OB Hospitalist teams
- Ensure program alignment with clinical and operational objectives set by the organization and hospital
- Travel to the hospital as required to address operational priorities and support the hospitalist team
- Train and mentor new clinicians to integrate into the value-based culture
- Communicate and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and expectations among the team
- Manage minor physician issues, escalating to senior leadership when necessary
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and internal stakeholders to enhance labor and delivery utilization
- Maintain compliance with all relevant quality and safety standards

- Valid medical license to practice as a physician
