OB/GYN Physician (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver full-spectrum obstetric care, including prenatal assessments, labor and delivery, and postpartum follow-up.
- Perform a wide range of gynecologic procedures, from routine exams to complex surgeries such as C-sections, hysterectomies, and laparoscopic interventions.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage reproductive health issues, offering both preventive and acute care to women at all stages of life.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
- Provide patient education on reproductive health, family planning, and wellness, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Stay current with medical research, best practices, and clinical guidelines in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Participate in call coverage as required by the medical group to ensure continuous patient care.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification (or eligibility) in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
- Current and unrestricted state medical license in Maine.
- Demonstrated experience in providing obstetric and gynecologic care, including surgical procedures.
