OB/GYN Physician (Locum Tenens)
Palm Health Resources is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Physician (Locum Tenens) to join a dedicated women’s health team for a hospital-based assignment. This role involves working in an inpatient Labor & Delivery and OB/NICU department, where you will utilize your expertise in obstetric and gynecologic procedures. The assignment provides a predictable, consistent schedule without on-call responsibilities, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional care to patients while supporting and mentoring residents and midwives.
As an OB/GYN Physician (Locum Tenens), you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including residents and a midwife, to ensure the highest standards of patient care. This assignment runs from January 1, 2026, to September 1, 2026, and features two 12-hour night shifts per week (Monday and Thursday, 7PM–7AM), totaling 24 hours per week. Typical responsibilities include performing vaginal and Cesarean deliveries, D&C, laparoscopy, and laparotomy. OB/GYN Physicians can expect to manage an average of 35 deliveries per shift, with approximately one Cesarean delivery per shift. The absence of call responsibilities enables you to maintain an optimal work-life balance while maintaining a high standard of care for patients and supporting the hospital’s mission.
To be considered for this OB/GYN Physician (Locum Tenens) role, candidates must hold board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, possess an active New Jersey medical license, and have recent experience in hospital-based labor and delivery.
