OB/GYN Hospitalist (OBGYN) – Full-Time Opportunity

Are you a Board-Certified OB/GYN passionate about providing exceptional care in both hospital and clinic settings? We are seeking a dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist (OBGYN) for an immediate, ongoing opportunity. This role offers a dynamic blend of labor and delivery, clinical care, and gynecologic surgery, all supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. If you are looking to make a real difference while enjoying a flexible schedule and a supportive work environment, this OB/GYN Hospitalist (OBGYN) position is for you.

As an OB/GYN Hospitalist (OBGYN), you will be responsible for managing a wide range of patient care needs including labor and delivery, emergency OB/GYN care, and gynecologic surgical procedures. In addition to inpatient responsibilities, you will participate in outpatient clinic coverage, working alongside certified nurse midwives, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, medical assistants, ultrasound technicians, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists. The team operates in a well-resourced environment, with access to 24/7 neonatology and anesthesia services, as well as active resident involvement, ensuring comprehensive patient care and continuous learning opportunities.

The OB/GYN Hospitalist (OBGYN) role is ideal for skilled physicians seeking variety in their daily practice, as you will work both in labor and delivery and outpatient settings. Typical shifts include 12-24 hour labor and delivery coverage and 8-hour clinic shifts. Clinic patient volumes average approximately 35 patients per day, with labor and delivery patient census varying according to hospital demand. The position requires proficiency in managing OB emergencies, performing gynecologic surgeries—including open, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures—and conducting office-based procedures such as colposcopy and biopsies.

For documentation, you will utilize a combination of electronic and paper charting systems: SCM and GE for labor and delivery, and Athena and paper charts for clinic visits. This ensures efficient and accurate recordkeeping across all settings. The OB/GYN Hospitalist (OBGYN) will also benefit from a strong administrative and clinical support network, making it easier to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

This is a high-demand, immediate-need role that welcomes candidates ready to begin as soon as credentialing is completed. If you are a Board-Certified OB/GYN, comfortable with both OB emergencies and a range of gynecologic surgeries, we encourage you to apply for this OB/GYN Hospitalist (OBGYN) opportunity.
