OB CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) - Summary
- Weekend-only, full-time locum opportunity focusing exclusively on obstetric anesthesia
- Work in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit with approximately 7,000 annual deliveries
- Engage in a collaborative care-team environment supported by attending anesthesiologists and fellow CRNAs
- Leverage the latest in electronic medical record technology (EPIC)
- Contribute to a Level IV trauma center, ensuring exposure to a diverse patient population and complex cases
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer labor epidurals and spinal anesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort during labor and delivery
- Provide anesthesia care for cesarean sections and other obstetric surgical procedures
- Function with high autonomy during weekend shifts, with access to attending anesthesiologists as needed
- Participate in preoperative patient assessments, develop anesthesia care plans, and monitor patients throughout perioperative periods
- Document all patient interactions and anesthesia records accurately in the EMR system
- Contribute to a positive team environment, collaborating with nurses, physicians, and other allied health professionals
- Maintain a standard of practice that meets hospital accreditation and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active NBCRNA certification
- Valid New Jersey CRNA license, or eligibility/in progress of obtaining licensure
- Current CDS, DEA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
- Recent experience in obstetric anesthesia strongly preferred
- Ability to independently perform epidural and spinal anesthesia for labor and delivery patients
- Weekend availability and commitment to a high-volume clinical setting

- No weekday or on-call requirements; shifts are exclusively on weekends (24-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays)
