Nurse Practitioner – Vascular Medicine (NP) Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for those with vascular conditions.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and imaging to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
- Initiate and manage treatment regimens, including prescribing medications and coordinating interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

- Document all clinical activities accurately in the electronic health record system.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or equivalent degree for Physician Assistants.
- Active and unrestricted state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Current board certification or eligibility as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
- DEA certificate for prescribing controlled substances (II-V).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if assigned to the Emergency Department.
- Experience providing care in acute or ambulatory settings within the relevant specialty.
