Nurse Practitioner – Pulmonary Critical Care (NP, Pulmonary NP) Summary
- Full-time advanced practice provider role specializing in pulmonary and critical care.
- Primary responsibilities include the management and coordination of inpatient pulmonary and critical care cases.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a magnet-rated hospital system.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for pulmonary and critical care patients.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests relevant to pulmonary medicine and critical care.
- Prescribe appropriate medications such as inhalers and oxygen therapy based on patient assessment and current guidelines.
- Participate in patient rounds, case discussions, and develop individualized care plans.
- Ensure thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress notes in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients and their families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Coordinate follow-up care and facilitate communication across the healthcare team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in pulmonary and critical care through continuing education and training opportunities.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary range from $130,000 to $200,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a focus in pulmonary or critical care is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in pulmonary and/or critical care settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
