Working as a full-time member of the medical team, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Urgent Care will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to a diverse patient population.
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Urgent Care in Suffolk, VA, you will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of medical assessments, procedures, and treatments in collaboration with supervising physicians. This position requires a high degree of clinical competence and situational awareness, as you will be responsible for independently managing patient care while adhering to established protocols and maintaining excellent customer service. The ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and 12-hour rotations, is essential for success in this role. Adaptability is also key, as you may be required to rotate between regional urgent care locations as directed by administration.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Urgent Care will be responsible for conducting health assessments, prescribing and providing treatments and interventions, performing occupational medicine regulatory exams, and executing various medical procedures. You will work under a collaborative agreement with assigned physicians and are expected to actively participate in quality assurance, improvement activities, and effective team collaboration. Efficient use of available resources and ongoing professional development through continuing education are integral aspects of the role.
