Optigy is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Primary Care for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in the Greater Denver, CO area. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a value-based care provider focused on serving Medicare Advantage seniors in Thornton. As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in this role, you will be part of a mission-driven healthcare team committed to relationship-centered care and improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive primary care services to Medicare Advantage seniors in a clinical setting as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
- Conduct patient visits, typically seeing 12–18 patients per day, with an emphasis on quality interactions and building patient relationships.
- Utilize a proprietary electronic medical records (EMR) system designed specifically for senior care, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient workflow.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary care team model, including physicians, physician assistants (PA), and other healthcare professionals, to deliver holistic care focused on wellness and prevention.
- Implement strategies aimed at reducing hospitalizations by focusing on preventative health initiatives and evidence-based care interventions.
- Participate in regular team meetings and case discussions to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Adhere to all clinical protocols and regulatory requirements in the state of Colorado.
Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license required.
- Eligibility for Colorado state licensure is mandatory for this position.
- Previous experience in geriatrics or value-based care (VBC) is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused primary care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster trust and collaboration with patients and team members.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies, including proprietary EMR systems, and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
Position Details
- This is a full-time, onsite locum tenens position with a minimum three-month assignment and potential for long-term conversion based on performance and team fit.
- Travel and lodging accommodations, as well as malpractice coverage, are provided as part of the employment arrangement.
