This position offers dynamic exposure across multiple primary care settings, providing essential support to teams while ensuring the highest standards of patient care. As a key member of the primary care team, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) – Primary Care Float will serve as an integral resource, traveling between different clinics to cover provider absences and maintain continuity of care for patients.

Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) – Primary Care Float Summary
- Full-time advanced practice provider role focused on floating across primary care clinics to provide coverage as needed.
- Opportunity to work alongside experienced healthcare professionals in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
- Travel to different offices within the network is required; no individual patient panel assignment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and comprehensive physical examinations using standardized assessment techniques.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to determine patient health status and guide care plans.
- Document physical findings, develop care plans, and establish prognoses based on patient conditions.
- Perform preventive health measures and follow guidelines provided by supervising physicians.
- Uphold patient rights, including informed consent, privacy, confidentiality, and the right to refuse care.
- Engage in patient education initiatives to promote independence and self-care.
- Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and department protocols at all times.
- Support the primary care team by providing flexible coverage during provider leave or absences.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant (PA) program.
- Current, unrestricted Indiana RN license required.
- Active APRN or PA/CSR license, or eligibility to obtain relevant licensure.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- AANP, ANCC, or PA certification required.
- Ability to travel independently between clinical sites as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license necessary for travel requirements.
