Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) - Summary- Provide evidence-based outpatient primary care to patients of all ages
- Emphasize preventive medicine and chronic disease management
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to maximize care quality
- Utilize advanced clinical skills to diagnose and treat a wide spectrum of health issues
- Practice autonomously and at the top of your licensure within a supportive environment
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in an outpatient setting
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Prescribe medications and therapies within licensure guidelines
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
