Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) - Summary
- Provide evidence-based outpatient primary care to patients of all ages
- Emphasize preventive medicine and chronic disease management
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to maximize care quality
- Utilize advanced clinical skills to diagnose and treat a wide spectrum of health issues

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in an outpatient setting
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Prescribe medications and therapies within licensure guidelines
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Active and unrestricted license to practice in New Mexico
- Board certification in respective field required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
