Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Primary Care Position Overview
This full-time Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) position offers an opportunity to join a collaborative outpatient practice in The Villages, FL. As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a primary care setting, you will play an instrumental role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to adult patients. The NP/PA will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and improved health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient examinations and health assessments in an outpatient environment.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in adult patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical best practices.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive healthcare strategies.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks electronic medical record (EMR) software to document patient encounters and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, community-focused work environment.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures relevant to primary care and outpatient practice.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program with current licensure to practice in the state of Florida.
- Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C) as applicable.
- Demonstrated experience in a primary care, internal medicine, or outpatient clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as eClinicalWorks is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Employment Details
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; administrative time is included in the schedule.
- No on-call responsibilities, supporting work-life balance.
- Patient volume: Approximately 12-15 patients per day.
