We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner – Cardiology (NP – Cardiology) for an inpatient cardiology setting on a contract basis. This NP – Cardiology contract role is designed for those who desire schedule flexibility and the chance to work with diverse patient populations. The position features an attractive 4 days on, 4 days off schedule, providing a balanced work-life arrangement. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced inpatient environment, managing a patient census of 15-20, and responding to the dynamic needs of cardiovascular patients. This role is an excellent fit for Nurse Practitioners who hold active ACLS and BLS certifications and have, or are eligible for, appropriate state licensure or PA compact privileges.
The NP – Cardiology will be responsible for providing advanced cardiac care, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning in accordance with established protocols. The contract term is set for 26 weeks with the potential for extension. Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient cardiology care to a diverse population of patients
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams for patient management
- Document all patient encounters, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with medical standards
- Participate in patient rounds, case discussions, and hand-offs to ensure continuity of care
- Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans as needed, and provide patient and family education
- Respond promptly to acute changes in patient status and escalate care as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and institutional policies

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with eligibility for state licensure or PA compact as applicable
- Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience in inpatient cardiology preferred
- Excellent communication, clinical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
