Nurse Manager – Med Surg Oncology (RN) Summary
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the medical surgical oncology unit
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with oncology nursing standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans and optimize outcomes

Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff within the medical surgical oncology unit
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives
- Monitor patient care activities to ensure adherence to evidence-based oncology protocols and practices
- Manage unit budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation
- Facilitate staff education, competency development, and ongoing professional growth
- Address and resolve patient, staff, and family concerns in a timely and compassionate manner
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other departments to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in quality assurance and risk management activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting as required by healthcare regulations

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in oncology or medical surgical nursing
- Prior leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting highly desirable
- Certification in Oncology Nursing (such as OCN®) strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based oncology treatments and nursing best practices
