The Non-CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products to customers while adhering to all relevant safety, company, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This full-time position requires working second shift hours, typically from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with the possibility of weekend and holiday shifts. Based in a dynamic environment, the Non-CDL Delivery Driver plays a vital role in upholding the standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency through careful handling of company property, compliance with protocols, and professional conduct at all times.
As a Non-CDL Delivery Driver, you will be tasked with loading and unloading linen carts at both company facilities and customer locations, ensuring that each cart is tagged and documented correctly. You will complete all required paperwork and logs daily, including vehicle inspection reports, and maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups. Additionally, you will be responsible for disinfecting vehicles after each soil pickup, weighing and transporting soil materials, and reporting any mechanical or operational issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and excellent customer service skills are essential for this role. The Non-CDL Delivery Driver must maintain a clean driving record and possess a valid driver’s license, as well as pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and MVR background check. Physical stamina is required, as the position involves lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing or pulling wheeled carts weighing up to 700 lbs. Uniform compliance and a neat, professional appearance are required to represent the company positively at all times.
The Non-CDL Delivery Driver is also responsible for adhering to all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook, including attendance and safety protocols. You will be expected to keep company equipment clean and organized, follow universal precautions when working with soiled materials, and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment. Reporting customer service issues and working collaboratively with team members will be a part of your daily responsibilities.
