NICU Charge Nurse RN - Summary- Provides direct clinical care and leads nursing staff in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

- Mentors and develops NICU nursing staff, promoting professional growth and best practices.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities and patient care assignments within the NICU.
- Provide expert clinical care to critically ill neonates, utilizing advanced nursing skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and manage unit flow, ensuring appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios and resource allocation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for nursing staff during the assigned shift, offering guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Facilitate communication between families and care teams, providing education and emotional support to parents and guardians.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in neonatal care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to ongoing staff development and training.
