Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical care to critically ill neuroscience patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic neurological conditions
- Collaborate with intensivists, fellows, residents, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
- Perform procedures and interventions as credentialed and required for Neuro ICU patients
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on evolving clinical needs
- Facilitate communication with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, prognoses, and care goals
- Support quality improvement initiatives and adherence to evidence-based protocols
- Participate in continuing education, staff training, and mentorship for new team members
- Ensure documentation and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Contribute to the advancement of clinical practice through research and educational activities as appropriate

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) as required by the state of Connecticut
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience in critical care or neurology/neurosurgery setting strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
