You will be involved in providing comprehensive evaluation and management of neurological patients, addressing both acute and chronic conditions. The daily patient census is manageable, typically involving 6-10 new patient consults per day, as well as follow-up visits, ensuring you have ample time to focus on quality care. The hospital’s dedicated epilepsy group manages EEG readings, while proficiency in performing lumbar punctures is preferred for this assignment.
With a standardized daily schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and no on-call requirements, this Locum Tenens position enables a balanced professional lifestyle. The assignment is set to begin on August 19, 2024, with an initial end date of January 31, 2025, and the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement and hospital needs. All candidates must have completed a residency in Neurology, possess active DEA and CDS registrations, and bring a patient-focused, collegial approach to their work. While trauma level experience is not required, it is considered beneficial.
