Neurohospitalist (MD/DO)
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurohospitalist (MD/DO) for a hospital-based, inpatient consulting role. This position offers a dynamic opportunity for physicians interested in working in a collaborative medical environment, providing expert neurological care and consultative services to hospitalized patients. The Neurohospitalist will join a team where the primary focus is acute inpatient neurologic evaluation and management, excluding neurocritical care responsibilities, as a dedicated neuro critical care team manages the neuro ICU. This is not a primary admitting service, and instead focuses on consultative support across the hospital setting.
The Neurohospitalist (MD/DO) will have the chance to engage with a diverse patient population, working alongside experienced professionals across multiple disciplines to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care. Scheduled coverage is typically one week per month, with shift times generally falling between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, though standard hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Some additional time may be required at the beginning and end of each day for transitions and completion of documentation. There may be occasional call responsibilities, with the potential for 24-hour weekend call every eight weeks. However, the most immediate need is for consistent inpatient week coverage.
Candidates must hold a valid OR medical license and be prepared to step into a fast-paced, consultative hospital environment. This role is well-suited for physicians who thrive in acute care settings and value interdisciplinary collaboration. The Neurohospitalist (MD/DO) will make a significant impact by delivering high-quality neurological assessments, guiding care plans, and contributing to patient outcomes during their most critical periods of hospitalization.
Available coverage dates are subject to change and currently include several upcoming weeks throughout the year.
