Network Support Engineer - Summary- Responsible for the documentation and maintenance of network cabling, including both copper and fiber connections.
- Utilizes Microsoft Excel and other Office tools to maintain accurate records of network configurations.
- Creates and applies labels for patch panels and cables using a laptop and label printer.
- Works closely with the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure and other team members to address network issues.
- Performs essential cable management and light cleanup to maintain organized network closets.
- Document and update all network cabling information in designated data closets, focusing on both copper and fiber connections.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date network closet records using Microsoft Excel.
- Utilize a variety of tools, including laptops and label printers, to generate and affix accurate labels for fiber patch panels and cables.
- Identify and communicate any network-related issues or concerns to the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure in a timely manner.
- Conduct light cleanup and systematic cable management to ensure optimal organization and accessibility within network closets.
