Network Engineer (MSP) Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer (MSP) to join a leading Managed Services Provider in Huntsville, AL. As a Network Engineer (MSP), you will play a crucial role in implementing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure for a diverse client base, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Responsibilities- Configure network services and perform network equipment installations to support client requirements.
- Provide comprehensive LAN/WAN installation, maintenance, and support for various client infrastructure projects.
- Deliver onsite network hardware support and installation, ensuring all devices function seamlessly within client environments.
- Assist with the setup, management, and troubleshooting of Windows Servers to maintain system integrity and uptime.
- Monitor network alert systems, promptly taking action in accordance with established guidelines to maintain network health and security.
- Utilize event logs and diagnostic messages to efficiently identify and resolve network issues.
- Respond to escalated service requests, providing advanced technical support and solutions as needed.
- Facilitate new user onboarding, including configuring user accounts and ensuring proper network access and security protocols are followed.
- Previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP) is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in network engineering or similar technical roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in network and firewall administration, with specific experience using SonicWall and Meraki technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools such as NinjaOne, ConnectWise, Kaseya, or Datto RMM.
- Proficiency in Professional Services Automation (PSA) ticketing systems, including Autotask or ConnectWise.
- Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting networks, servers, and workstations within diverse enterprise environments.
- Exceptional customer service skills, maintaining a courteous, tactful, and professional demeanor at all times.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to groups and stakeholders.
- Reliable work ethic, demonstrating consistency, dependability, and a commitment to quality.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional growth within the IT industry.
